Some of the youth activities require forms to be completed and signed. They include Confirmation Registration form, Confirmation Covenant form, Teen Group Registration form, Teen Group Covenant form, Emergency Medical Information, and Photo Permission Slip (for the web site).

Youth Activities

God's Goldfish - (Teen Group)

Youth who have already been confirmed meet on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m.

The older youth have read “The Disciple’s Joy” by Michael Foss. There are plans to continue with Bible Study and other activities.

Several times this year, this group will join the confirmation students for service projects including participating in the Night Ministry.

The Youth Program at UiF is still growing! Do have ideas? Please join us to share your enthusiasm!

November 12-14, 2010 - Big Fish High School Retreat

This retreat will be held at Lutherdale Bible Camp in Elkhorn, Wisconsin.  The retreat theme revolves around Jonah who was afraid, alone, and pretty sure that the people in this place did not want to hear what God had to say.  Join us as we learn from Jonah how we can take God's word to our friends and family, how we can be strong enough in our faith to know the way, show the way and go the way God wants us to, and bring others along.  Music, games, camp style worship, friends, fellowship and fun are all apart of this weekend.

Sunday School

Sunday School classes are held on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. for ages four years to fifth grade from September to May.

March 25-25, 2011 - Who Is Sam Harrington? 

The retreat will be held at Lutherdale Bible Camp in Elkhorn, Wisconsin.  The retreat will explore a mysterious fellow named Sam Harrington, who changes the grumpy old town clown of Coledale by his acts of kindness which are contagious and spread from one person to another. Sam's example of "doing unto others" is legendary in Coledale, and soon the townfolks are jumping on the bandwagon to follow in his footsteps. As the buzz about Sam grows, the townspeople gather to answer the burning question - "Who is Sam Harrington?"  When the surprising answer unfolds, thry learn a priceless truth about being like Jesus.

Confirmation

Confirmation classes are held on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. for youth in 6th through the 8th grade. Confirmation classes are from September to May.

December 3-5, 2010 - Confirmation Retreat

The retreat will be held at Lutherdale Bible Camp in Elkhorn, Wisconsin.  The retreat will feature reatbible studies that center around what we believe about Baptism.  You can expect great food, fun & fellowship, sports activities, skill building activities, a tobaggan run, camp music worship and experiential bible studies.

What is Confirmation?

Jesus’ final command to his disciples was to “go and make disciples of all nations.” At United in Faith, we take the call to discipleship seriously. Discipleship simply mean following Jesus… but following Jesus isn’t always as simple as it sounds! At UiF, confirmation is not a class. Confirmation centers around DISCIPLESHIP. During Confirmation, middle-school aged youth get to learn about the many different ways we as disciples follow Jesus. They get to learn what our church believes (so they can decide what they believe!) They get to participate in and experience worship. They get to do service projects, experiencing places where the church meets the world. And they get to immerse themselves (and be mentored) in different aspects of the ministry at UiF. Confirmation is not a sacrament or rite of passage. Confirmation is training – walking with Jesus and with others – so that in the future, you can make your own choices about what it means to be a DISCIPLE – a follower of Christ. In order to facilitate these things, there are expectations for both the confirmands and their parents.

By coming to Confirmation, you are making a commitment to learn more about being a DISCIPLE OF JESUS CHRIST.

You are expected to:

Come to worship
Bring your Bible & study materials
Do take-home assignments
Pray for your fellow students
Participate in service projects

What’s Happening at Confirmation?

We’re using a 3-year curriculum called Here We Stand. This year we are studying the Old Testament. Each Sunday afternoon, we gather for class at 11:45 p.m. We learn about God, the church, and each other through:

• Games
• Conversation
• Small groups
• Activities
• Service Projects

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School, for children four years old to 5th grade, has not yet been scheduled  for 2011.
