Confirmation / Youth Ministry

The youth at United in Faith, sixth graders through eighth graders, continue to prepare for their lives as Christians through Confirmation classes. Their Christian roots are enhanced to give our youth a rich education to prepare them to enter their teen years with basic Christian values in the Lutheran tradition. As we look at the youth of our church, we are looking into the future.

The curriculum is based on the "Here We Stand" series from Augsburg Fortress. The confirmation program is based on a three year curriculum allowing entire groups to participate in classes together. It also provides an opportunity for them to grow and investigate christian values both individually and as a group. The three year program culminates in a confirmation ceremony that celebrates their successful completion of the program.  Classes are held on Wednesdays at 5:30 p.m. from September to May.

The confirmands are included in some of the activities of God's Goldfish, the teen group.
