As a community:

We recognize God’s command to do justice.

We have a vision of the kingdom of God and we answer God’s call to bring forth that vision here on earth.

We advocate for just treatment of all that God has created.

We engage in non-partisan political action to influence policy makers to make just and compassionate choices.

We sponsor an educational event regarding a justice issue each year.

We work in cooperation with all of the ministries of United in Faith to support works of charity with action that will ultimately eliminate the need for charity.

Furthermore, we envision in the future:

That justice will become such a cornerstone of our ministry that it defines our ministry and our individual daily choices.

Engaging in regular political action as individuals, as a congregation, and as part of the Church as a whole to address issues of justice in our neighborhood and across the globe.

Recognizing our responsibility when we are the ones with power and influence, treating all people everywhere justly and with compassion.

Creating and supporting recycling programs and practices to protect and preserve the environment God has entrusted to our stewardship.

That each person connected with United in Faith would participate in the ELCA eAdvocacy Network and the Lutheran Network for Justice Advocacy in Illinois.

That United in Faith would be such a place infused with peace and justice that it serves as a model for the world.
